The AbyssalCam is a full-ocean-depth (6,000 m) visual companion camera built to the same unforgiving standards as our hyperspectral systems — but designed for perfect color, clarity, and context at any depth.

When you need more than a spectral fingerprint — when you need to see machine parts, biological detail, archaeological features, or verify a nodule field with your own eyes — the AbyssalCam delivers ultra-sharp 4K video and 8-megapixel stills even in near-darkness.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

All AbyssaLite lighting systems and AbyssalCam cameras purchased directly from Benthic Spectral Inc. are covered by a no-hassle 30-day return period. If, within 30 days of delivery, the product does not meet your performance expectations or arrives with any defect in materials or workmanship, simply contact us for a return authorization. Once the item is received back in unused, as-shipped condition (normal integration/testing in a pool or pressure chamber is permitted), we will issue a full refund or replacement at your choice. Return shipping is prepaid by us for warranty claims within the continental U.S.; international customers receive a shipping credit up to the original freight cost. Custom-configured or special-order units remain fully returnable under the same 30-day terms provided they have not been deployed at depth in the open ocean. Your confidence in our equipment is our priority.

SHIPPING INFO

All in-stock AbyssaLite and AbyssalCam units ship within 3–5 business days of cleared payment from our Michigan facility. HyperCam and complete Deep Ocean Surveyor systems are built-to-order with typical lead times of 8–12 weeks (confirmed at purchase). Domestic U.S. shipments travel via insured FedEx Ground or Freight with tracking included and signature required. International orders are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to most countries we cover duties, taxes, and customs clearance so you only pay the quoted price. All pressure-housing products receive a final 1.2× rated-depth hyperbaric test and calibration before packing, and are shipped in custom-fitted, waterproof Pelican or SKB cases. Expedited and white-glove delivery options are available on request.
